Benson Park, near Waikerie is a great place to go back in time and experience a different lifestyle.

The 500-acre property, owned by Ken and Bev Nitschke, offers weekend trail rides and much more.

Ken grew up on the local property and the house where he lived as a small boy has been converted by him into a small barn.

The original house which was built by Ken's father way back in 1930, is made out of cliff stone and pug.

The bush Banquet Barn creates a heritage atmosphere which has the ability to take you back in time to an era now long gone.

It captures that unique time in our history when good food and entertainment were the source and spice of life.

The colonial setting enhances good old fashion entertainment, including puzzles and games.

Ken's dream was to establish a Riverland Park where people could experience the Australian bush whilst gaining an appreciation for horses.

Benson Park has ten horses for guests to ride and Ken acts as a guide for trail riding through the park.

The trails take in some of the most breathtaking views of the majestic River Murray.

Half day adventure trail horse riding - Marvellous experience and the scenery was breath taking! Thanks Ken and for all the tips and challenges!!
